Care Instructions - Indalia Jewelry
Indalia pieces are made to stand out—and crafted to last. We never compromise on quality, so with a little care, your jewelry will keep its brilliance for years to come.
KEEP IT COMFY & DRY
Store each piece separately in a soft, anti-tarnish pouch or the plastic zip-lock bag provided.
Cool, dry places are your BFFs here—no humid bathrooms, please! This keeps your pieces looking fresh and helps prevent scratches and tarnish.
STAY AWAY FROM NASTIES
Your jewelry doesn’t mix well with any chemicals! Avoid:
Hand sanitizer
Bleach, deep cleaners & solvents
Chlorine (mold cleaners or swimming pools)
Perfumes, lotions & creams
These can damage finishes, dull shine, and speed up tarnishing—so spritz and moisturize before putting on your jewelry.
CLEAN IT RIGHT
Gentle is the key.
Use a soft, non-abrasive cloth to gently wipe your jewelry after wearing.
For a deeper clean, use mild soap and warm water. Soak briefly, rinse well, and dry completely with a soft cloth.
Avoid ultrasonic or steam cleaners—they’re too harsh for gold plating and vermeil.
KNOW YOUR METALS
Gold Vermeil & Gold-Plated: These have a thick layer of gold that can wear off with extra rough handling. Be extra gentle and avoid jewelry cleaning solution or over-cleaning.
Sterling Silver: Naturally tarnishes over time—clean gently to return to condition and store with care. Avoid moisture and use a silver jewelry cleaner if needed.
WHY DOES JEWELRY SOMETIMES TURN MY SKIN GREEN OR BLACK?
That little color change isn’t a sign of poor quality — it’s actually a natural reaction between your skin and the metals around it. Everyone’s skin chemistry is different, and things like pH, lotions, and even humidity can play a role.
At Indalia, we keep it premium: every piece starts with solid 925 sterling silver, finished in thick layers of 14k or 18k gold vermeil, or rhodium-plated silver for extra whiteness and protection. That means our jewelry is designed to last longer and resist tarnish compared to standard plated pieces.
The best part? If your skin does react, it’s harmless — and usually a quick clean with a soft cloth keeps your jewelry glowing like new.
